As a music business professional, Brad Paul has actively promoted a wide variety of music genres through his work as a radio promoter, radio host and producer, concert promoter, video producer, and director.

As VP of Promotion for Concord Music Group/New Rounder/Village Roadshow and SVP of National Promotion for Rounder Records, he promoted artists as diverse as Alison Krauss, Robert Plant, Steve Martin, Paul Simon, Gregg Allman, Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, The Chieftains, Alejandro Escovedo, Raul Malo, Madeleine Peyroux, Burning Spear, Branford Marsalis, Del McCoury, Beau Jocques & The Zydeco High Rollers, Charles Brown, Irma Thomas, Bela Fleck, The Jayhawks, Nanci Griffith, and The Soul Rebels to a variety of radio formats including AAA, Americana, country, blues, folk, and syndicated programs from National Public Radio and Public Radio International.

As an Executive Producer, Brad’s credits include the Telly Award-winning and Emmy nominated PBS program Rounder Records 40th Anniversary Concert Special, Alison Krauss’ 100 Miles Or More GAC TV Special (also a Telly Award winner). As a Producer & Director, Brad’s credits include video bios, “behind the scenes,” and performance videos for Robert Plant, Alison Krauss, Gregg Allman, Steve Martin, The Steep Canyon Rangers, The Jayhawks, Madeleine Peyroux, Mary Chapin Carpenter, The Soul Rebels, and Nanci Griffith. His radio production credits include The Club 47 50th Anniversary radio special for WGBH, Paul Simon’s So Beautiful or So What – A Guided Tour national radio special, and Robert Plant & Alison Krauss’ Raising Sand national radio special.

Brad hosted and produced Folk On WGBH (Boston’s NPR affiliate) from 2004 to 2009 and “The Folk Show” on WEVO (New Hampshire Public Radio) from 1988 to 1991. He is a founding member of the Americana Music Association. He served on its Board of Directors for thirteen years, including three years as President of the Board.

In February of 2013, Brad started Brad Paul Media, a full-service radio promotion and artist development consulting company with the goal of helping artists increase their brand awareness through radio exposure and develop their career by tapping into his network of music industry professionals.

Since starting Brad Paul Media, Brad has scheduled over 2,500 radio in-studio appearances, garnered tens of thousands of radio spins for over two hundred clients. Nationally syndicated radio bookings have included NPR, World Café, Mountain Stage, eTown, WoodSongs, Acoustic Café, West Coast Live, Folk Alley, Music City Roots, and Sirius XM Radio. Brad has achieved top forty radio chart success for his clients on the JBE AAA Chart, the Americana Music Association/CDX Americana Radio Chart, Roots Music Report Charts, Bluegrass Today Chart, Living Blues Radio chart, NACC Folk Chart, and The Folk DJ Chart.

Brad graduated from Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts with a BS degree in communication. While at Emerson, he co-created the popular morning show The Coffeehouse on Emerson’s student-run radio station WERS, where he also served as Program Director. He was responsible for bringing Live At Passim to WERS and produced and hosted the program for three years from the venerable music venue in Harvard Square.

In 2011, Brad was one of forty music business professionals selected from a group of over four hundred applicants to participate in the professional development program, Leadership Music in Nashville, Tennessee.

Brad Paul currently resides in the town of Groton, Massachusetts with his wife, Beth. His son Cody, a writer, and his son Noah, a videographer, live nearby. Brad has served on the Groton Greenway Committee and the Groton Trails Committee. He served on the Board of Directors of Club Passim in Cambridge, MA from 2013 to 2023.
